Jamboree-on-the-Air, or JOTA, is the largest Scouting event in the world. It is held annually the third full weekend in October. JOTA uses amateur radio to link Scouts and hams around the world, around the nation, and in your own community. This jamboree requires no travel, other than to the Council Service Center on October 21 to participate in Jamboree on the Air (JOTA).
We plan to offer opportunities to try radio technologies to communicate with Scouts across town, across the state, and maybe across the world. Trying out radio can help Scouts earn advancements for Tigers, Webelos, Boy Scouts, and all Scouts.
