|Are you a fun-loving, hardworking person who loves the outdoors? Come work at Philmont next summer and become part of a family of like-minded, adventurous individuals!|
Philmont offers jobs for adults of all ages in a variety of departments. More than 1,100 summer staff are hired each year to operate and support outdoor skills training, backcountry programs, living history programs, a national training center, food service, maintenance, retail operations, guest services, museums, administration, and ranching and horse programs. Contracts typically start in mid- to late May and last through the end of the season in August.
Each summer, more than 23,000 Scouts travel from all corners of the US and abroad to participate in the rich backcountry program and trekking opportunities available at Philmont Scout Ranch. There are 36 staffed backcountry camps scattered across nearly 250,000 acres, where staff run assorted programs ranging from rock climbing and horseback riding to mine tours and living history. Since 1939, Philmont programs have attracted more than 1 million participants. The Philmont property also serves as the national training center for the Boy Scouts of America.
