Subject: Call for Volunteers: 2019-2020 eCYBERMISSION Program

Do you believe in promoting STEM education to America’s youth? Would you want a flexible volunteering opportunity? If so, accept the challenge to become a part of the eCYBERMISSION competition!

The eCYBERMISSION competition is a U.S. Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) national web-based science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) competition for students in grades six through nine. The program promotes self-discovery and enables all students to recognize the real-life applications of STEM, while engaging with U.S. Army scientists and engineers who mentor them along the way. Using best practices in science and engineering, teams of three or four students propose a solution to a real world problem in their communities and compete for State, Regional and National Awards and recognition. This emphasis on STEM and a chance for students to engage in science and engineering practices makes eCYBERMISSION an excellent STEM learning experience.

We hope you will be a part of this experience, as there are several opportunities available, which are listed below:

  • Ambassador: Promote the eCYBERMISSION Program in your community and spread the word about the benefits of STEM Education.  More information found at
  • CyberGuide: Volunteers who provide online assistance to eCYBERMISSION teams, and can also serve as Ambassadors to promote the eCYBERMISSION Program in their local community.  More information found at
  • Virtual Judge: Volunteers who have a background or interest in STEM education. They independently and objectively score approximately ten to fifteen Mission Folders online during our Virtual Judging period in March. More information found at
