ScoutReach Cultures Day

Talakto Unit leaders & Scout Volunteers,
See the link below for the final Leader’ Guide for the ScoutReach Cultural Day, scheduled for Saturday, 29 February 2020, held at Alabama A&M University.  We will be using Tentaroo (same as is used for GAC summercamp) for all registration, including staff and other adults who will be just ordering lunch at the cafeteria.  The link for the ScoutReach registration is  The registration site is now active.  Please sign up as units just like for summercamp, and not individually.
Please note that two merit badges (Composite Materials and Woodcarving) are limited to the first 10 scouts who register due to safety constraints that must be adhered to.  Also, note that scouts who sign up for the Composite Material merit badge MUST be at least 13 years old.  The age restriction has been set by the MB Counselor based on experiences the past two years.  Please do NOT sign up a scout for Composite Materials if he/she is not at least 13 years of age.
For Composite Materials MB, there is also a consent form (linked below) which must be filled out and signed by the parent/guardian (not scout leader) and brought with the scout to the class.  No signed form, no attendance.
For Woodcarving MB, a scout MUST bring his/her Totin’ Chip card with them.  This will not be taught as part of the class.  Unit leaders have time to train their scouts who want to take this class.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at or 256-603-0405.  Thanks and look forward to seeing many of you on the 29th.
