About the Talakto Communications Committee

The Talakto Communications Committee is responsible for getting the word out to the people of the Talakto District—which proudly serves Madison County, Alabama. Our mission is to ensure that all members of our scouting community stay informed and inspired by the latest updates, events, and opportunities across the district and council.

The committee is led by yours truly, Stephen Forsythe, Vice Chair of Communications. I work with a dynamic and efficient team to keep our community connected. As chair, I manage all district-level emails and can reach the Key 3s of every pack and troop, the district committee, our commissioner team, and members at large.

Meet the rest of the team:

  • Jen Bolick (aka Jenzilla) is our Monthly Newsletter Editor. Jen gathers everything you need to know into one organized and easy-to-read publication each month, keeping our Scouters and Scouts in the loop on what’s ahead.
  • Nate Mobley (aka DJ Thrive) is in charge of social media. He runs the Talakto District Facebook and Instagram pages, regularly sharing updates and promoting events so that our families can stay informed through the apps they use every day.
  • Max Sessions is our Webmaster at Talakto.org. Max makes sure the website stays current with news, events, and resources that matter most to you.
